Comments: i own several pitts,aswell as a greyhound x bull cattle and a whippet xbullcattle .i find that my pitts tend to be a bit more aggressive when it comes to hunting pigs so i tend to leave most of them home and take my main finder(pit girl)and 1 male pit named max and my two crosses.i dont like people who fight their dogs and never haave,but iget some people who dont like me either.my dogs love hunting,when ipull the rifle out i cant shut them up until they are in the truck.my point is i love my dogs they love hunting and they are fit and healthy a couple of them have had the occassional rip but nothing serious.hunting is also a way of life here.if your ever interestedand coming to new zealand give me a yell at my email adress and i might take you hunting . nice pictures on your web page,.thanks

I just had to comment on the Pitbull Pages because the pits in those pictures are absolutely gorgeous. We are a family with 3 dogs (2 chihuahuas and 1 pitbull terrior). Our pit, his name is Savo, gets along great with out little chihuahuas. He is the most loving guy and as loyal as can be. We've has him since he was only 5 months and everyday the bond we have with him grows stronger and stronger. We definately support the pitbull breed in seeing for ourself that it is not the breed that needs the bad rep, its the trainer. Great job on the site guys! :)

Heard about the website from Don as I'm a legal assistant in Florida. Great pics, and what a wonderful travel log re: the Tanzania climb.
The mention of meeting someone on the flight from Colby College caught my attention, as there's "only one" great Colby College I know, and that's in my hometown of Waterville, Maine! Small world (except when you're cliff and rock climbing "a world away!") The homestead is beautiful (always loved N.H. besides "my Maine") and also enjoyed the rest of your work on the site.

Comments: I have a 3 yr old dog...she was a type of 'rescue" from a friend of a friend of a relative who was planning on taking her to the animal shelter...she was only 7 weeks old at the time...so me...being the pushover i am...brought her home. the guy who gave me the dog said he had been told the pup was a rottie/lab mix...every person who has seen her since day one tends to think she is a pit/lab mix. Could i email u a few photos of u and do u think u could give me an honest opinion of if u think its possible for her to have pit bloodlines somewhere in there? (there is a good reason for this inquiry!)
The dog (Liza) has always been spoiled and well loved since she came to live with us at 7 wks of age...but despite all that she has some agression issues. She is nothing but loving to me and my daughter (age 15) usually she is fine with my son (hes 5) but ocasionally i have to tell him to "get away from Liza..u seem to be agitating her" Most other ppl she doesnt care for...especially men. I had to tie her outside since christmas because of a very frightening incident involving my 2 yr old nephew. (my nephew spends a lot of time here and this particular day if i hadnt been walking through the kitchen when i did...the baby would have been mauled..he walked too close to her food dish while she was eating and she went after him...luckily i was between them and scooped up the baby...which then turned her on me. (when i yelled her name and said "Liza! its me! its me!" she stopped short of breaking skin)i hate to think what would of happened to my nephew if i hadnt been in the right place at the right time!
I always assumed agressive pits has to do with how they are raised..that they had to be TRAINED to be aggressive...but after owning this dog for 3 yrs..i dont think that is true! the incident with my nephew scared me so much i tied her out to a dogbox..away from the immediate area of the yard where children play and posted beware of dog signs.
problem is....a neighborhood dog broke his chain and payed her a visit at a 'bad' time and we now have puppies. she gave birth to 8 puppies and the first night she killed 5 of them. 3 are alive and healthy and 4 weeks old now. One (the little girl) has already growled at us...i dont want these pups to end up going to homes with children if there is a possibility of pitbull blood in them. I have seen how these dogs can turn on someone or something that doesnt even pose a threat..more of a nuicance. My God....my dog acts like my teenage daughter on PMS week...but the dog acts that way all the time~
